
I’d actually recommend cutting a 1/2 lime into quarters adding 2oz of agave muddling the contants in a shaker adding the ice shaking vigorously serving over fresh ice and garnishing with four dashes of orange bitters and salted rim. I’ll be making a pitcher of this stuff very soon! This is absolutely perfect! I was hesitant about the lack of triple arc but I don’t like that stuff anyway and the drink is PERFECT without it. This is amazing! The house drink at my wedding was similar albeit even lazier, hence our name "Lazy Margarita": My hubs and I made these two nights in a row. Used 1/2oz of simple syrup, perfect amount to subtle sweetness and tartness. Try this one and you will leave the BA poor substitute forever. 3 parts Tequila, 2 parts Triple Sec, 1 part fresh lemon juice, 1 part fresh lime juice. The real Margarita FROM Mexico where my friend went for 6 months every year is this. Sometimes I add sliced jalapenos to the sugar water mix when making the simple syrup for a little kick! Strain it into the glass and garnish with a few lime wedges. Cointreau is orange-flavored triple sec and it adds a better flavor than orange juice or regular triple sec, in my opinion. Place the Patron, Cointreau or Triple Sec, and lime juice in a shaker with 4 ice cubes and shake Strain and garnish. Cointreau: Some skinny margarita recipes call for orange juice, but I prefer cointreau. Step 3: Use a citrus squeezer (or your hands) to add the lime juice to the cocktail shaker.


Step 2: Add the tequila and cointreau to a cocktail shaker. 45ml Jose Cuervo Tradicional Tequila Silver 15ml Cointreau 30ml Freshly squeezed lime juice 5ml sugar syrup. You may adjust the sweetness to your own taste with the simple syrup. Run the wedge around the glass, then dip the outside rim of the glass in the salt. Step 1: Run a lime wedge along the edge of your glass, then dip it in salt to salt the rim. a Tequila Sour has lemon, bitters & egg white in addition to the the lime & tequila… So this is definitely not that. NO it’s not “authentic” but it’s damned tasty to me. I use pretty decent tequila and prefer the taste of that, no need for triple sec. Shake and strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass. This is pretty much how I make mine, but use agave nectar instead of simple syrup and add fresh squeezed Orange juice as well. Ingredients 1 ounce Cointreau 2 ounces blanco tequila 1 ounce fresh lime juice Directions Combine all ingredients in a shaker and add ice.
